How do I set up a clear window cling with white ink
With Clear Window Clings, you can use white ink as an overprint so your graphic can be opaque in some areas and transparent in others, allowing for vibrant, crisp color on clear material.
Create a separate White Mask file (same size as your artwork) using vector format (EPS or PDF). Use solid black (0% C, 0% M, 0% Y, 100% K) to indicate where white ink should print.
How the layers work:
- White ink prints behind any color in your artwork layer
- Areas with color but no White Mask appear somewhat transparent on the clear substrate
- Areas with color and a White Mask appear as opaque, solid color
- Areas with a White Mask but no color appear as solid white
If your cling will be viewed from outside a window, select "Mounted From Inside" and reverse your artwork before submission.
