What is rich black and how do I set it up
Rich black is an ink mixture that produces a deeper, darker black than using 100% K (black) ink alone. Printing with just 100% K can appear slightly gray or washed out, especially on large solid areas.
For the richest, deepest black, we recommend using: C:60 M:40 Y:40 K:100. This combination layers Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow under the black to create a dense, saturated result.
Note: For dye-sublimation products (polyester banners, flags, table covers, fabric displays), use C:100 M:100 Y:100 K:100 instead.
Rich black should only be used for large areas and bold text. For small text and fine lines, use 100% K only to keep edges sharp and avoid registration issues.
