How can I avoid transparency issues in my print files

Transparency problems happen when effects like shadows, glows, or transparent images sit on top of Pantone (spot) colors. On screen everything looks fine, but after printing you may see white boxes, color shifts, or missing effects where the transparency was. To prevent this, always convert all spot (Pantone) colors to CMYK before saving your file. Then flatten your file to merge all layers and remove any live transparency. This ensures what you see on screen matches what gets printed. Shadows, glows, drop shadows, feathered edges, and semi-transparent images are all common causes of transparency problems. Convert and flatten before uploading.
