The industry standard for EDDM campaigns. Meets USPS flat-size requirements, full-color both sides, and fits perfectly in residential mailboxes. Ideal for most businesses.

Slightly wider format that stands out in the mailbox. Great for coupons, menus, and service listings. Full bleed printing on premium card stock.
8.5"×11" Flat Mailer
Letter-size flat mailer with maximum print area. Perfect for detailed service menus, real estate listings, and information-heavy campaigns.
9"×12" Flat Mailer
Our largest standard EDDM size. Impossible to miss in any mailbox. Ideal for grand openings, major promotions, and high-impact announcements.
EDDM Flyers & Brochures
Folded and multi-page EDDM formats for campaigns that need more space to tell your story or present detailed offers.
8.5"×7" Folded
Half-fold mailer that opens to reveal a full 8.5"×14" spread. Great for menus, service catalogs, and detailed promotional offers.
6.5"×12" Tri-Fold
Classic tri-fold brochure format sized for EDDM. Six panels for organizing services, pricing, and contact information in a professional layout.

EDDM vs. Traditional Direct Mail
Understand which direct mail approach is right for your campaign goals and budget.
EDDM (Every Door)
Blanket Coverage by Route
Best for: Local businesses targeting geographic areas — restaurants, dental offices, home services, retail stores, and anyone who wants to reach every household in a neighborhood.
Traditional Direct Mail
Targeted Individual Recipients
Best for: Businesses targeting specific demographics, high-value prospects, or niche audiences where personalized messaging and selective targeting justify the higher per-piece cost.
The Smartest Way to Reach Local Customers
EDDM marketing has exploded in the past few years because it works — highly-targeted mailings remain one of the most effective methods for generating business.
Lowest Cost Per Piece
At just $0.185 per piece postage, EDDM is the most affordable direct mail option available. No permit fees, no list rental costs — just low flat-rate postage that makes large-scale campaigns accessible to any budget.
Target by Geography
Choose specific USPS carrier routes, ZIP codes, or a radius around your business. The USPS route tool shows demographics for each route so you can target the right neighborhoods for your services.
No List Required
No permits, no mailing lists, no address imprinting equipment needed. EDDM eliminates the biggest barriers to direct mail — you don't need to buy, maintain, or manage any recipient data.

Is EDDM Right for You?
EDDM is a powerful tool, but it's not the right fit for every campaign. Here's an honest look at the advantages and limitations.

EDDM Cons
Standard vs. Oversized: Picking Your EDDM Postcard Size
Here's something we tell every EDDM customer: your postcard is almost always going to be oversized, and that's by design. EDDM pieces have to clear the USPS "flat" size threshold — bigger than 6.125" tall or 11.5" wide — which is why the popular EDDM formats are 6x9, 6.5x9, and 6x11 rather than the pocket-size 4x6 or 5x7 cards you'd run for a list-based mailing. An oversized card simply lands harder in the mailbox. It doesn't get buried under the bills, it gives you room for a real offer, and on a carrier route where everyone gets the same piece, that physical presence is what earns the second look.
The trade-off is postage. Standard sizes like 4x6, 5x7, or 8.5x5.5 can mail at the cheaper letter rate, while anything over the threshold jumps to flat/EDDM rates — so the "right" size depends on whether you're doing EDDM or a targeted drop. If you're weighing standard against oversized for any postcard campaign, our full Standard vs. Oversized Postcards guide walks through every common size — 4x6, 5x7, 8.5x5.5, 6x9, and 6x11 — with the postage and impact trade-offs laid out. You can also browse all of our postcard printing options if you've already settled on a size.
