The 5-Step EDDM Process
We make it easy to launch a successful neighborhood saturation campaign. Here is how we get your message into hands.
Step 1: Choose Your Mailpiece
Select the postcard size that best fits your message. EDDM requires specific dimensions to qualify for the discounted postage rates. Common sizes include 6.25" x 9", 6.25" x 11", and 8.5" x 11".
Step 2: Select Your Routes
Use the USPS EDDM Mapping Tool to target specific neighborhoods. You can filter by demographics such as age, household income, and household size to ensure your message reaches the right audience.
Step 3: Design & Print
Create your artwork following USPS guidelines (including the EDDM Indicia and proper address formatting). Catdi Printing ensures your design meets all technical specifications for seamless processing.
Step 4: Preparation & Bundling
Mailpieces must be bundled in sets of 50 to 100 with a facing slip for each bundle. This is a critical step for USPS acceptance. We handle all the heavy lifting of sorting and bundling for you.
Step 5: Delivery to Post Office
The bundled mail is delivered to the specific Post Office (DDU) that serves your selected routes. Once accepted, the USPS letter carriers deliver your pieces to every mailbox on the route.
